Mary Hickner, DPM, is a board-certified podiatrist at Madison Advanced Foot & Ankle. Dr. Hickner is proud to offer quality foot and ankle care to local residents in Madison, Wisconsin.
Dr. Hickner is originally from Grand Rapids, Michigan. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan, before pursuing medical school at the Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in North Chicago, Illinois.
Following her medical education, Dr. Hickner completed a three-year surgical residency program at the Swedish Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. She received specialized training in reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgery. Her specialties include diabetic foot and wound care, heel pain, sports injuries, fractures, biomechanical evaluations, custom foot orthotics, surgical correction of common foot deformities, as well as preventive foot and ankle health.
Dr. Hickner is also a diplomat of the American Board of Podiatric Medicine and a fellow of the American College of Podiatric Medicine. As a passionate podiatrist, she has published works in the field of diabetic limb salvage.
At Madison Advanced Foot & Ankle, Dr. Hickner enjoys both nonsurgical and surgical treatments. She is honored to serve the Madison community and excited to help patients meet their foot care goals.
